"The room was clean and spacious. The property is amazing with nature trails right outside your cabin and a beautiful garden with a talking parrot. The hotel/restaurant also has a few chickens and a turkey. The food at the restaurant was so authentic and some of the best food we ate in Costa Rica. I definitely recommend the tilapia. We ate at the restaurant for 3 of the 4 meals that we had when we were in the area because of how good and convenient it was. Would definitely recommend to anyone...

"Comfortable cabin in a bit secluded area, in the Costa Rican rainforest. We love peacefulness, quietness and close-to-nature location. "I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed.
