Great stay

Great venue, great room, great social space. Be mindful the rooms on the second floor can be noisy as they play music on the terrace from 10am up until midnight - but ear plugs were provided!

Super friendly staff, very helpful. Good location just a few minutes walk away from the old town, very charming lobby decor But, rooms are NOT soundproof at all. The rooftop bar has parties until midnight with (drunk) people constantly walking up and down being loud. Rooms are all above the lobby whenever someone is chatting downstairs it's like they are with you in the room. Free earplugs provided but ideally the problem should be addressed by soundproofing the rooms, or having a dedicated access to the rooftop.

Stayed here for 6 nights on a solo vacation in my own dedicated room. I got this on a steal of a deal from Expedia when I applied my rewards. Don't expect a luxurious experience. Rooms are basic and even for 2 might be a squeeze. The bathroom is decently sized though. Everything was quite clean and housekeeping present frequently. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. The hostel is quite lively. So lively that earplugs are provided and would be a good idea. It does get noisy in the evenings and it did keep me up a bit. Luckily I was able to sleep around it. The location is excellent. A 15 minute walk will take you from Getsemaní to the other end of the Historic Center. I spent most of my days walking around no Uber or taxi required. There are a number of daily activities to keep you interested, especially in the evenings. I wouldn't stay here again though, as it made me feel old as a single traveller. But definitely a fun option for groups.

Disappointing experience with Viajero Getsemani. We paid for a private double room en suite. It had no windows and severely lacked ventilation - the room smelt awful because of this. We booked and pre paid via Expedia but at checkout were asked to pay again. This means we have double paid and I’m still not getting any replies from Viajero about a refund. Be careful (and check your account) if the same happens to you, it could be a scam! Would recommend people use other hostel companies, there are plenty more out there which are FAR better value for money.

There's mold growing around the ac units and the bathroom doors. Unacceptable by even low standards. Reserved a 2 bed room 3 months in advance, got one king size bed. AC units all leak water and I had 2 different rooms. The lock in the bathroom was broken in one.

The ac units all leak water. The first room was worse than the second. There's mold growing around the ac units and the door jams. That can't be safe. The privacy lock on the bathroom door was broken. You had to use alot of force to close the door. Almost couldn't open the bathroom. The second room had an exhaust fan that sounded like a 747 on the runway. The ac only had a small stream of water coming down the wall as opposed to having to get the trash bin to collect the water. I requested two beds 2 months ago and they gave us one bed on the second stay. I'm never going back.

O quarto é pequeno para tantas pessoas tinha um cheiro muito forte de mofo chegava me dar enjoo quando eu chegava. Eu pensei que as festas no rooftop eram durante noite a dentro mais acaba super cedo p eles poderem Vender o pub crawl. Faz muita falta ventilador individual nas camas no calor de cartagena, o ar condicionado era pessimo em alguns momentos gelado demais durante a madrugada e dia um calor insuportavel… esqueceram de me dar coberta no check in e eu passei muito frio 2 noites a ponto de vestir moletom que eu uso no avião e me cobri com a minha toalha em baixo do lençol… ai eu descobri q tinha manta pq vi em uma cama. Em resumo nao vale o valor cobrado. Ficamos 1 dia sem agua e quando voltou nao funcionava a agua quente do meu quarto. Bem como no check in eu informei que havia feito uma reserva de uma diaria a mais e me passaram-me que eu podia permanecer mo msmo quarto ate pq eu reservei o mesmo, e depois me ligaram eu estava almoçando pra tirar minhas coisas de um quarto e mudar pra outro eu tive q voltar no hostel para fazer isso foi uma situação bem chata! Outro ponto eu tive uma situação pessoal na primeira noite e pedi para trocar meu lençol me ofereci de pagar e ate de eu mesma trocar o que nao aconteceu fiquei 3 dias com o lençol sujo o que foi uma falta terrivel de atencao e cortesia deles… bebidas carissimas pra um hostel! Pontos Positivos super perto de tudo, a area de convivência ers bonita, e eu consegui fazer tudo ape

Hotel/Hostel muito bem localizado em Cartagena. No coração de Getsemaní é a 5 minutos a pé da torre do relógio na cidade amuralhada. Quartos privativo muito amplo. O hotel também possui uma ótima decoração e um rooftop bem animado e que proporciona um excelente pôr do sol. Ponto negativo é o barulho para quem fica no terceiro andar.

La habitación estaba descuidada, un montón de humedad, las puertas no tenían llave de seguridad, tenía que llegar a pedir que me abrieran siempre. Además no pedían ningún tipo de control para abrir la puerta. El extractor del baño sonaba demasiado. No fue una experiencia agradable para el costo, entendiendo que no es hotel, sino hostal.
