The main differentiating feature at this wonderful RC is the friendliness and attention to service by staff and management. Remembering small preferences and remembering names and likes for breakfast are a couple of examples. Of course and we’ll take care of it are ingrained into the staff. We’d go back in a heartbeat and strongly recommend to one and all.

In extensive global travels, I found the staff of this Casa Pestagua among the most gracious and accommodating I've met. I give Casa Pestagua my every recommendation. And on top of all of this, its location could not be more well-suited to Old City adventures, high-end shopping, and fine dining.

5 stars! For everything! I literally cried when I had to say goodbye to this hotel. It is STUNNING! I have never felt so welcome and connected to a staff at a hotel before. My husband and I spent 7 nights at Casa Pestagua, and it still wasn't enough time. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm. The gourmet breakfast is beyond extraordinary, and the menu has so many choices. There wasn't anything I asked for that the staff didn't go above and beyond to help accommodate my requests. Definitely go to the spa at the sister hotel for a treatment and take the private boat to Acasi for the day. The pool is a paradise escape during the heat of the Cartagena afternoons. I would like to personally thank Louis, Carlos, Amanda, and Yeily for taking care of us and making us feel at home. Thank you so much to everyone else on staff, too. I will be returning to Cartagena, if only to relax and enjoy this hotel, it's superb service, and see the familiar and friendly faces of the Casa Pestagua team.

I travelled to Cartagena solo and stayed 3 nights. I was so delighted with the care and attention to my needs by the extraordinary staff that I barely left the property!! The staff was so delightful, thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast was an extraordinary experience and a perfect start to my day. My dinners were also lovely, and the chef was keen to accommodate my vegetarian requests. I booked a suite so that I would have an area to write during the day, I found the room spacious and very comfortable. And the BED! It was incredible to fall into each night. I highly recommend this hotel and had a beautiful experience.

The ONLY place for me in Cartagena

I really can’t express how much I loved our stay at Casa Pestagua. On our second day, my very hard to please teenage daughter declared, “I give this hotel a 10 out of 10!” The rooms are simply elegant. The hotel is beautiful and charming. However, the true standout is the service. Someone contacted me prior to our arrival to check in on our possible needs and to see if they could be of help with transportation. When we arrived, Katherine and Brandon were OUTSTANDING. I really cannot emphasize that enough. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our rooms and that level of service continued through our trip. From the moment you enter this very special place, you are greeted with a warm smile and a helping hand. The pool in the courtyard was the perfect place to spend the afternoon after being out in the sun all day. They offered complimentary wine and snacks from 5-6 which was an unexpected treat. I am so glad my other plan didn’t work out!

Casa Pestagua in Cartagena has become one of our favorite getaway spots. We enjoyed the people and service at this hotel so much, we went back 2 months later. Prior to arriving, I was in touch with concierge Leo. He booked, in advance, an incredible speed boat trip to Isle de Rosario Majagua where we did sporting activities. He also set up a reservation at “Top 10 bar” Alquimico, (dinner and rooftop). Once the staff at Alquimico knew we were from Casa Pestagua, they treated us like first class. Hotel Manager Katherine remembered us and was there “checking in” every step of the way to make sure our stay was going well. The food in the restaurant is top tier and maitre’d, Rene, professionally ensures that you get exactly what you want. They had not problem working around our gluten and dairy allergies. Hostess Juliana always greeted and sat us with a smile. David, Luis Felipe, Alvaro and Carol are the fun, personable wait staff who make meals very enjoyable. Bartender, Carlos, is always there to whip up one of his specialty drinks. Night concierge, Brando, knowledgeably directs you and makes reservations as needed. Doorman Luis and Carlos B made sure to carry all bags , open all doors and take all photos we wanted. The staff surprisingly came out and sang happy birthday to my girlfriend with balloons and cake. Love them all and can’t wait to go back . John D
