"Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB! The room was in good condition. The bed was a bit on the soft and saggy side. Great view though over the water. Hallways are clearly under ongoing repairs. The dinner dining area is quite nice. Breakfast area could use a refresh (especially that first booth seat).
Overall, the Anchor Hotel was a great 2 night...
"We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Ardshiel! Everyone was so warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. Food and drinks were great. Perfect base for exploring the Campbeltown area. Our room was clean and very comp. Would absolutely stay again!"

"If you're planning to play golf in Machrihanish (and why else would you go there?) the Ugadale is an awesome place to stay. Next door to the Machrihanish Golf Club clubhouse, with a shuttle to Machrihanish Dunes five miles away."
"lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay at the Lamlash Bay hotel, we were in one of the top floor rooms so the slanted roof was a bit of an issue for me but I managed to navigate without too many bumps. We really enjoyed the food on offer in the restaurant and it was nice just to chill out in the bar or take in the views outside, Top quality food, location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. "
