"The keyless check in was a disaster, consuming much pre-arrival customer time, only to be overridden with a physical key being issued in the end. Obtaining the key required traveling to a sister hotel over a mile away. We were told "They were having internet problems".
The coffee machine had a cup of stale coffee in the overflow well. There was poor communication in the room about the location of items like the ice machine. It turns out the machine was a block away in a separate building. And so it went.
The bright spot was the woman managing the breakfast activity. She was very attentive and helpful, albeit too late to address the above mentioned issues. No one was available as the mentioned events were unfolding.
Yes, its 2026, and we understand staffing is an issue and technology is king. Unfortunately "customer service', a reason to stay at any property, has suffered as a result. At this property it seems to have all but disappeared.
The bottom line? We will not be using EXPEDIA or staying at this facility on our next visit to Apalachicola."
