Staff were friendly and keen to help. Room was bright, clean, bed was comfy, air-conditioning worked. Location was pretty good for Carmelo proper - just off the centre, with easy access for everything from bus station to some of the best food in town. Not so good was the limited front-desk hours which meant having to plan to arrive within a two-hour window. Also the bikes for rent could be in better shape (and not all built for six-foot-tall riders).
Great little boutique hostel with great private rooms and right in the heart of Carmelo town. Bikes available for rent at US$10 per day and a well equipped kitchen for all you preparation needs.
Very stylish, has that boutique feel. Well located close to the square and bus. Clean and secure. Dorm rooms are spacious.
It is right on the street so some noise. Towel rental extra. No soap / shampoo provided so remember to bring some from the place you are coming from.
Bikes available for daily rental for a nominal fee, but check tires, brakes, gears, seat before you go, as they need some maintenance.
Overall very good.

Disliked: Room comfort
convenient
close to the bus terminal. great outside patio. breakfast is very minimal, almost nothing. come prepared to cook your own meals.
Hostel was fine, as advertised. Friendly people at the desk. Kitchen staff for breakfast not so friendly. Common showers were clean and good hot water and water pressure.
Can't fault this hostel. Just be aware that the room advertised on hotels.com is shared bathroom . We got upgraded for free to on suite room as all rooms were advertised as having bathrooms. Think this has now been corrected by hotel. Great garden at back
I generally go over to carmelo every 2 weeks and have been in all the hotels in town. This hostel is my favorite because is familiar the service is great and rooms spaceous and clean really nice place to stay
