The lady at the reception was very nice and hospitable. We didn’t receive a VIP Access benefit, at least not what we thought we would have received from our experience at other resorts and hotels. We did receive a bottle of wine, wasn’t sure if that came standard with every room, but when I asked about room upgrade, pretty much every room was standard, and the same as the others. The food was really good at the restaurant.

What you see is not what you get

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The Wi-Fi was down the entire night, which was incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the linens had black spots on them, which was quite off-putting. The room also had an unpleasant smell, as if it hadn't been used in a long time. It felt like I was the first person to stay there after a long period of disuse. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this hotel.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Check in was very smooth and their direction to our room was very clear. The property has boom gates with security so it was very safe and inviting. It was also very close to the beach. The room was okay...simply okay. The bathroom shower was massive, but the shower didn't drain, so you are standing in others dirty water. The toilet upstairs in the loft was broken. I don't mean it didn't flush, I mean the flush arm was broken (something cleaning staff should have easily found and fixed). The place is pretty outdated, but for the price isn't bad. The sleeping arrangement was quite strange with 2 double beds down stairs and 2 singles in the loft. Meaning there is absolutely zero privacy for a married couple who are traveling with kids. All in all the place was okay, but hardly a "Resort".

Property generally goi and the location excellent. Could be great fir family accommodation. Limited parking space a nightmare, especially when there are guests who come in groups. Restaurant staff friendly and welcoming.

Awesome spot for a family - kid friendly! Spacious interiors, clean environment. All crockery and utensils available . I guess my only recommendation is to replace the toilet unit which seems to be decades old, seat loose and rust build up on the base, and in the kitchenette perhaps a extra work top counter for meal prep. Found room 36 not to have any space to work on . But overall I will recommend the resort for family or couple stay overs. Resturant’s delightful, chilled and relaxing environment!

Convenient and clean St Francis stay

The overall experience was fairly good and satisfying. It is close to the swimming pool and not to far walking to the beach although it is not advised to be swimming at the beach in front of the complex which meant thar we had to drive to the swimming beach which is really worth the effort. The unit was very clean. It does however lack some cooling in terms of a fan or airconditioning. The kitchen is very small. The communial braai facilities cause a bit of noise when fellow visitors makes use of it as a get to gether place in the evenings. Even though the above, the overall stay was delightful and very clean.

Wonderful Place for holidaying..

Cape st Francis resort is such an amazing place to stay in for holidaying.. Choice of restaurants with great food and pleasant professional staff worse at the reception.. Beach within a walking distance, can hear the sound of rhe sea from the room, fully equipped apartments. We had an amazing time , the second time around we stayed there..

We really liked our 2 bed apartment. It was spacious and comfortable with good beds. The kitchen was adequately equipped. The cleaners were great, efficient and friendly. Shaun, the owner, was friendly and very effective and the whole resort ran very efficiently. The apartment was a bit worn in places, especially the bathrooms, but not to a major extent. It was a brief walk to a gorgeous, long and safe beach. Wemwent out on a boat trip with Tyler from the resort and saw whales! We plan to return the next time we go to SA.

We had no Wi-fi access and not much assistance was offered in this regard. Reception office hours only from 07h00 - 19h00. Used towel and shower mat was placed back in bathroom by clearning staff after it was left asside for laundry collection. On site Joe Fish Restaurant does not make provision for vegetarians and does not offer much for children. Guests in upper apartment made noise - no consideration for guests on ground apartment. Our apartment was close to the Restaurant and the wedding venue. On the Saturday afternoon there was a wedding and a wedding reception. The music was very loud - we could't sleep that night until the reception's music stopped. We had to close all our windows to block out the music which is not right because we need fresh air. Wedding guests roamed around our apartment and we had to close our curtains so that they could not see into our apartment. Totally closed up in our apartment the entire afternoon, evening and night.
