Glenghorm Beach Resort

"Le Grenghorm Resort est situé à deux pas de sa plage privée qui est immense et dont il est possible de prendre une marche en amoureux. L'eau était à une température confortable. La chambre était agréablement décorée. Toutes les serviettes de bain ou à mains et débarbouillettes sont brodés très class à l'effigie du ressort. Un des bémols est la jeune réceptionniste blonde travaillant de jour. Elle ne semble pas heureuse ou n'aime tout simplement pas son travail. Aucun sourire, aucun entregens, dit le strict minimum lors du check-in et du check-out. C'est très malaisant. Elle a l'air d'une morte vivante. L'autre bémol est que l'extérieur des bâtiments et chalets à besoin d'un peu d'amour... Le premier coup d'oeil est important. On voit que le resort a besoin de rénovation extérieur et un meilleur amenagement paysagé."

"We stayed for two nights with two teens and two dogs. The property was conveniently located to explore the Cheticamp side of Cabot Trail. The views of the water were also beautiful. The downside was the lack of air conditioning, the many dead (and live insects in the bathroom) and the price, which was quite high for what you get - no restaurant on site, no daily housekeeping, the aforementioned insects and subpar cleanliness."

"inn was close to National Park borders and within minutes of restaurants and gas. Room was absolutely immaculate and the decor was gorgeous. Check in and out was simple! A perfect stay on our Cape Breton Island road trip!"

Castle Rock Country Inn

"The people and the view are unbeatable! Breakfast was scrumptious and the dining room/deck are excellent venues. The rooms were fine - comfortable enough beds, good shower. Soaps, shampoos of low quality. No iron. It's about 10 minutes from the restaurants, etc, which is also acceptable. It's a shame the restaurant is no longer operating except for breakfast. We are sure it must have been amazing."

"Gorgeous location with private beach. Highly recommend. However, disappointed the hot tub not working when we were there (likely another guest shut it off accidentally they said). One other small quibble: we were strangely given only three plates, three bowls. For the price point, I think they need not be so stingy on the dishes. Having said that, nicely maintained, gorgeous location."
