"Great stay a the Stag - bar staff were excellent and the food was absolutely fantastic . Rooms were spacious and really really clean and comfortable with comfy beds and great bathrooms . Parking was really easy and the welcome was superb . "

"We were greeted by very helpful & friendly staff and from the outside the hotel looked great. Sadly the decor inside the property left a to be desired with peeling paint work and thread bare carpets on the stail ways. Not the most encouraging introduction. The shower gel container was empty on arrival and the room was incorrectly made up on one occasion, set for single despite having been correctly attended to previously for us."

"Shared shower and toilet w neighboring room. This was NOT clear when I made reservation. Never would have stayed there if I knew that. Also, it’s attached to apartment buildings, my windowed faced their entryways, so I couldn’t leave my window open, as the motion sensor light kept coming on until 2 am because there were people in and out of that area, noisy. Not a safe feeling at all. Yuck."

"This is a nice, good value and well maintained and managed budget hotel. I stayed in room 4 for five nights in June. The recently refurbished room was medium sized and was very clean. It had an en-suite shower room with a power shower. There was also a clothes rack with four coat hangers and some shelves, a dressing table and chair and a good sized double bed. There was a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a welcome chocolate bar and apple juice-a nice touch. There was plenty of...

"An historic hotel situated close to the cathedral. The public rooms are very well appointed and the staff were helpful. My room on the 4th floor was comfortable, thought the bathroom was rather small. The hotel served an acceptable cooked breakfast."

"Radiator not working so room was cold, tap on bath rattling and water spurting out took ages to fill bath. Shared room with a dozen ladybirds..canteen downstairs never open. Unlocked and unsafe left luggage hall.i came fownstairs a few times about radiator in the night and noonf on reception rang number on desk but it wasnt regonised. Reception not manned at all times.. the room was big and lovely and location good."
