"The host and hostess were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Parking was in the property forecourt. The breakfast was well prepared and plentiful. The only issue was finding somewhere to dine. The local hotel could not accommodate us on the two occasions that we tried. The nearest was either Northern Sands or Castletown hotel both of which were a number of miles away."

"My room was quite large with a lovely view from all the windows! The manager/owner was very friendly and so appreciative of our visit. A big plus was also being able to get a nice dinner in the cute pub after a very busy day on a Rabbie’s tour. It was a nice homey change from a typical hotel room."

"Dinner was good, breakfast was very good. Bathroom very spacious with excellent shower. Unfortunately there were no shelves for any toiletries. Staff were very attentive and friendly. My only criticism is that we paid for a superior room, but it didn’t feel or look superior. It was on the ground floor with two windows facing Main Street, so the blinds were closed to avoid people looking in. For a standard room that would have been ok, but not for a superior room. "This was a favorite place on our travels throughout Scotland. In a peaceful setting, everything was lovely and immaculately cared for, with many extra nice and small touches. Jane and Richard were excellent hosts, welcoming us warmly, sharing helpful suggestions, and providing a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread. This was a great stay and highly recommend! "

The dinner we ordered was excellent and to order the best meal we had on our trip so far. Everything was locally sourced and made by Kayce herself. She was literally just a text message away. "It’s an older hotel and you can tell they work very hard to maintain it. Difficult to judge the amenities as they were all shut by the time of arrival. My only small concern was the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I’d like it."
