This was the hotel I reserved but when I arrived found that it had been sold and changed its name. The previous owner had kept all the reservations and without any question or notice moved our reservation to a completely different hotel. So, I never actually stayed at this hotel but due to my experience would not reserve here again.
I took a chance with this hotel since I read all the reviews. I have to say the reviews are not up to date. Our room was finished and very clean. Beds were comfortable, AC, and TV worked great.....spotty wifi. The hotel is right on the beach and very close to everything.
The bad.....The doors and windows are not sound-proof. You can hear every sound from people walking, talking, swimming, etc. Also no hot water for 3 days even after I complained. During check-in the staff member tried to down grade my room to a standard even though I pre-paid for a suite. They fixed that after I went back down and complained after looking at the room.
I would stay here again just because it's close to everything and large clean rooms.
Neu erstelltes Hotel. Noch nicht alle Zimmer sind komplett eingerichtet.

Right on the beach
If you want a place right on the beach, this is for you. Price is high for what is on offer though. Very basic rooms, no fridge, do have Netflix. But...my room smelled strongly like a sewer, till trying to get the smell out of my clothes a few days later!
Staff were very helpful and kind.
The beds were so comfortable and the hotel itself is newly renovated. It is a short walk to the beautiful little town of Puerto Morelos. We'll be back. 👍
This is a bait and switch. I am familiar with Puerto Morelos and was looking forward to Carlo Beach Hotel. The hotel in the photos! When we arrived they told us that we were booked into Ojo De Agua that is now Cielo Beach and they have a new name. When I called Hotels.cpm they said "what do you want us to do?" They did nothing!! Ojo De Agua is under construction!! Room with a bed!! No towel bars, no chairs, just white paint and a pile of towels!! No bell man to take bags up three floors!! When we went back to the old Carlo Beach they said the old owners are doing this to divert customers to their new property!! Total scam!!
Once again Hotels.com did nothing except talk to the hotel and said nothing they could do!!!
Notice, when we arrived the hotel had changed it's name to Ojo de Agua. It was a bit confusing but luckily the photos on hotels.com were good and I recognized the building. We were greeted by a man who I think was the owner and he was very nice. Our room was on the top floor and there were no elevators, a woman who worked there was kind enough to offer to carry my bag but I felt bad. If you can't handle the stairs request a ground floor room, I didn't see an elevator. The location was perfect! Right on the beach and a short stroll (either by beach or on the streets) to the main square. They had a small pool that looked quite clean and a restaurant/bar right on the beach. Drinks were cheap and we got them to go so we could sip our margaritas while we walked to town. The room was sufficient, had what we needed but nothing more and the bed was fine not super comfortable. The biggest issue for us was an odor that was coming probably from the drains, it is mexico so it was to be expected but it definitely smelled the whole room up and the window had no screen on it. We left the window open and probably because it was super
Okay- this was not a pleasant experience at all. First of all, the hotel goes by Hotel Ojo De Agua. NOT cIello Beach Hotel- so that was a problem since the hotel like 3 doors down goes by the same name. Anyway- I tried to get out of this reservation twice- and they evoked the no cancellation policy. The room we booked online was NOTHING like what we got upon arrival. The room stunk terribly, like just old musty dirty. The bathroom window opened out into a hallway- no screen, no glass nothing. No toilet paper holders.. NO HOT WATER. We had to shower in a completely different room while we were there. They offered to move us, to a room with two double beds we booked a queen. We didn't want to move after lugging our suitcases up three flights of stairs since there are no elevators. Also, they are obviously in the middle of remodeling because it was loud starting very early, dusty and just distracting. They were also painting the stairwells, I know this NOT because of warning signs put up but because my bags had white wet paint on them after we drug them down the stairs. Also, the beach seating they have is very nice. But don't expect prompt service from the bar area, we were informed that they wouldn't serve us unless we had an order of $100 pesos per person- which we did but the server was pretty rude about it. There were no screens on the window to the outside,so no opening it. I was disappointed and I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN.
The hotel has changed its name to Arena and administration apparently it splited one month ago. An employee called Ulises was aggressive and rude, said that he would not take any complains and threatened to kick me out of private property If I kept complaining. Expedia should know about these changes, hotel administration should know this is not the way for treating guests.

Enkel standard, något överprisat (i allafall under högsäsong). Bra restaurang på stranden nedanför. Solstolar och parasoll ingår för hotellets gäster.
Hotel wasn't open and was trashed when we arrived!
We thought we had the wrong place because it was a little hard to find. Once we found it everything was busted, there was trash everywhere and no one was there. The pictures online weren't even the actual rooms. We even had some helpful police officers confirm it was the correct hotel. We had to find another hotel.

Cielo beach club is operated by Ojo de Aqua. Very nice location. Staff was great, on top of things at all times. We didn't have TV (bummer for down time) but we had a beautiful veiw. Hotel offered beach chairs, tables, hammits, and bartenders that even serve you along beach. Room was next to the bar and grill which was very convienant for us. Housekeeping daily which was awesome. .
Beachfront location is excellent! Staff is friendly and helpful. Maria @ Reception is exceptional!
