"We had a fabulous time at Pousada Tapera. Even though it was rainy for most of our stay, we enjoyed the comfortable rooms and the friendly staff. And when the sun came out, we loved the beach nearby and had a refreshing dip in Tapera's pool afterward. We agreed the breakfasts were fabulous. Fresh juice and bread and the best bolo de estudante ever. Sandra, the caretaker and cook, was attentive and lovely throughout our stay. We'd definitely stay again."

"Rumah Pousada is a quiet, intimate place to stay away from the crowds in the Taipu de Fora area. The entire facility was purchased and remodeled last year. My room had all new amenities, including very quiet A/C, but had traditional charm, such as the beautiful original doors. it's a small number of units, so it's a very mellow vibe. it's right on the beach, which appears to go for miles in either direction. i saw very few people in my long walks on the beach.
