"Booked an executive double room which was very spacious and had a large bath too. A bit dated overall but clean and we had a lovely overnight stay. Dinner and breakfast were both good quality with gluten free options. I enjoyed using the pool and sauna (pre book) however disappointed the hot tub snd steam room were not in operation. Also, the spa was closed both Sunday and Monday. Hotel is set in extensive grounds and is a 15 minute walk into Aberfoyle. Plenty EV charging points at the hotel....

"Cheap attic room. Unfortunately TV in neighbouring room boomed all night . We phoned the assistance number and the parson who answered said she would sort it out (she was off site). Nothing was done all night . We and other guests tried to get someone in room to respond by banging loudly at 4am. We assumed either dead or heavily intoxicated . We asked staff in morning and they said no one was in that room and cleaner must have left TV on. All pretty crap, no sleep and no apology . Sad that a...

"I had a one night stay and needed basic accommodation, this sufficed. If staying be aware, I hadnt realised check in is before 7pm unless you advise (it was on the literature I just hadn't read it). My only hesitation to stay again is all the locks are electronically operated, and no one is on site. To feel safer as a lone traveller I would prefer to have a chain, or internal lock to the door in addition, in case the electrics failed at night and my room door would effectively be open."

"We were there 6 nights & it is by far the BEST guest house we’ve ever experienced. The house is the perfect mix of being historic but also updated, so it feels fresh. Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. And it was the perfect home base for day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Balmoral, Blair Castle & Glamis Castle for the Highland Games. The gardens and view from the house are gorgeous. "Die Auffahrt und das gesamte Anwesen wirken auf den ersten Blick sehr imposant und hochwertig. Leider trügt der erste Eindruck etwas, denn bei genauerem Hinsehen entspricht das Erlebnis nicht ganz den Erwartungen, die das Erscheinungsbild weckt. Unser Zimmer war hingegen schön eingerichtet und sauber. Allerdings wurden gegen Mitternacht die Außenstrahler des Gebäudes eingeschaltet, die direkt in unser Zimmer leuchteten. Da die Vorhänge nicht bis zur Decke reichten, drang viel Licht ins Zimmer...

"Our room was just lovely! We had the cutest two twin beds room up on the second floor. The views were so nice from the windows. The shower was the best we’d had in Scotland. The breakfast was amazing! Seriously, the black pudding and haggis options were great. Our host, Greg, took care of everything for us. We will come back and stay again."
