For a 500 year old buiklding it is still a really great place to stay. Large bedroom & bathroom. Lots of tables in the dining areas & good menu choice. Massive carpark, a very big plus when booking. This is what swayed me. Shops & cafes near by if required.

Staff were amazing!! Very helpful. You can have a chat with them and they will tell you all the local things to do and where to go. The hotel is fantastic with the old feel to it and the room was amazing!! We will definitely come back

14th century tavern inn, so make allowances ( oak beams if you are tall). Amazing conversion into hotel ( wonky doors). We didn’t see the resident ghosts so cannot confirm/deny.hahahah. Staff were good and Mark very helpful. Breakfast was good with choice. Two double gin and tonics ( Bombay sapphire ) £25 which i thought was a bit steep

Pros:: Lovely old pub, AC worked well, great location, plenty of parking, big room and bathroom. Bed was hard, but that is personal preference. Old building is beautiful but with it comes low beams, uneven steps, etc. Con's: Breakfast seemed a bit disjointed (only 1 staff member on) kept having to find staff (same with check out) - not a huge issue as pub not that big. Breakfast did not have all items listed on menu - but didnt twig till after (but have to say lots of pastries and cereals to choose from too). Overall would recommend.

Loved the oldie worldlyness of the place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good we ate at dinner and breakfast. Our only complaint was the bed, we like soft/medium but that was firm bordering on rock hard.
