"Good all round "

"I stayed 1 night at the lodge Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and nice room. I was booked by Expedia. The only disadvantage with the lodge you are not allowcyo use the solent swimming pool."

"The hotel was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful! It's really hard to find a dog friendly hotel that are so relaxed about actually bringing dogs! Especially as our puppy is a big boy and sometimes, due to his bread, people are cautious of him. But the hotel were great and didn't make us feel nervous or "in the way" at all. "Very quaint and clean with a perfect pub attached. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. A bit out of town but still a great location near a park and the river to walk. Train station in Glen Abbey is walkable. It was a bit chilly when we arrived but the room warmed up nicely"

"Big car park, incredibly friendly reception staff, lovely standard room, massive bed )a little firm for my liking, but slept well), shower perfection, went in three times because it was so good. Bar staff nice, ate in brickworks, good food, great service. Didn’t get to try pool as 830 arrival was too late for 9pm close. Lovely breakfast, good selection. "We have stayed at Ennio’s on numerous occasions; each and every time, we are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome (as I believe all guests get). Condition of property is excellent. To top it off there is a lovely restaurant, with a totally authentic Italian vibe- it can appear a little intimidating, but staff are great. Can’t recommend Ennio’s highly enough."

"Wonderful gem! We had a whirlwind stay for just 2 nights between docking at Southampton and leaving for Heathrow, but we crammed in a trip to Brighton to see family. The location of the inn was perfect: we could've gone into central Southampton easily enough, and having the train station a few minutes walk away was perfect for getting around. I only wish we'd had more energy and time to hang around the pub some more!"
