Top Buffalo Gap Hotel Reviews

Comfort Inn & Suites Mt. Rushmore

8/10 Good

"The hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The location is great. The front desk staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice. Now we get to the breakfast. The food for the breakfast is quite good. However, the plastic knives, forks, and spoons are the worst I have ever seen. They are flimsy beyond belief. It is almost impossible to cut anything with the plastic knife. The plastic forks bend to a 90° angle when you try to put them into something. Both the kitchen staff and the front deck staff are aware of this problem. They don’t believe they can do anything about it. After our first breakfast, we brought plastic wear from a restaurant that we had eaten lunch in. During the breakfast after our first night stay, my wife and I discussed the idea that it might be better to pick up the food with our hands and simply bite it. We didn’t do this, but it was tempting."

Bavarian Inn Black Hills

8/10 Good

"Very family-friendly location in the Black Hills. Property has indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, pickle-ball court, swing set and laundry room. Although the room decor is outdated, the room itself was clean and comfortable. On-site cafe offers breakfast items for purchase. Location is 5 minute drive from downtown Custer and near Mt. Rushmore, national and state parks."

Best Western Buffalo Ridge Inn

8/10 Good

"It all depends on what level of quality you want , this place is ok."

Rushmore Express Keystone

8/10 Good

"Room was clean, Staff were helful, attentive to guest. Breakfast was just okay, very limited. Very close to Mount Rushmore, convennient visit the national monument. Room/hallway decoration were old style looked un-appeal."

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Custer by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Clean quiet room, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Will stay here again for sure!"

Roosevelt Inn Mount Rushmore

10/10 Excellent

"Nice staff, great breakfast, great views, spacious and comfortable rooms."

Powder House Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our cabin at Powder House Lodge. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant on site was very good, but limited seating so call ahead seating a plus. Setting beautiful just outside the busier section of Keystone. Would definitely stay here again if in the area."

Super 8 by Wyndham Custer/Crazy Horse Area

8/10 Good

"I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past few years. The hot tub is great after long days hiking at Custer State Park. The staff was mixed. Some were more helpful than others who required prompting to be helpful. The cleanliness is up to my expectations but if you’re looking for floors & rooms in pristine condition you’d likely not be satisfied. For me, I need a roof over my head, a hot tub, & a place within a close proximity to Sylvan Lake. All in all it’s a good value for the stay, I would recommend & fully expecting to stay here again on future visits."

Quality Inn Keystone near Mount Rushmore
