This was an amazing place to stay! The host was incredible welcoming and kind. We enjoyed the view as we had our evening tea on the deck - watching the sheep. AMAZING place - highly recommend!

The owners were so kind, and it was such a beautiful property. The shower was pretty big, the first big shower I’d seen on my trip. Breakfast was yummy, they made us homemade breads.

The hotel is in a farm. The surrounding area is beautiful. No restaurants nearby. Need to bring food. There is a kitchen where you can cook.

Thank you ! Beautiful old farmhouse with spectacular views over the valley and out to the fjord. Lovely owners and a friendly shepherd dog to greet at the door. A just-right, old fashioned, place to stay.

We've had five incredible nights at Saudafell Guesthouse. It felt like home. The owners are very kind., each morning they served a more than complete breakfast and gave us plenty of information about the area, tips and tops and also about their lives in this beautiful country. An amazing guesthouse experience. Your hosts are generous and kind, and the house is a jewel set in a beautiful farmland context. See the sheep come up to the deck; cast your eye at the small historic cemetary. One of my favourite stays in Iceland!

Beautiful farmhouse, lovely hosts, delicious breakfast. Try to arrive in daylight, as after dark its more difficult to find the guesthouse. We accidentally knocked on the hosts' personal door.

Nette Inhaber, authentische Leute, die sich die Mühe geben zu plaudern. Man fühlt sich sehr heimisch in Wohnzimmer und Küche des Guesthouse. Bei Bedarf kann man auch einen selbst gestrickten echten Iceland Pulli kaufen. Es wurde sogar eine Arte Reportage über diese Tradition gedreht. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Awesome Stay

This is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. This farmhouse has been totally renovated and host has thought of everything you could need. Even toys for the children. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Full breakfast is fabulous. Explore Viking culture. Near Leif Erikson's 1st home.

Saudafell was a nice place to stay. The owners were very friendly and gave advice about things to see in iceland. Breakfast was included. The location was good, in a quiet spot but close to a town and the beautiful landscape that iceland is known for.

Absolutely amazing place

Very special place to stay, we loved every part of it. Wonderful and comfortable room and homey shared spaces. We had very rough icelandic weather on arrival to the area and the house was a warm sweet cozy haven. Home away from home. Nothing that we would not like. The owners are very friendly and had a chit chat with us in the morning during delicious breakfast and gave us some great information. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to stay in Sudafell.

We loved our stay here! The hosts were very generous with their time and patiently answered lots of questions we'd accumulated during our drive around Iceland. We definitely plan to stay here again next time we're in Iceland. The rooms were tidy and cozy, the view from the property was superb, and the sheep and horses on the farm were adorable! The nearest town isn't far away and has several restaurants and a grocery store.

Nice little guesthouse with a history

Very clean and nice little guesthouse with all the feeling you are in Icelandic farming Life. The host are very nice and you feel welcomed and they tell you about the area and what you can see and the history around Sauðafell. I would recommend stay there over a weekend for a nice relaxing getaway.
