Budapest

Fisherman's Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest, around Matthias Church. It's seven towers represent the seven Magyar tribes that settled in the Carpathian Basin in 895. It was designed and built between 1895 and 1902 on the plans of Frigyes Schulek. Between 1947–48, the son of Frigyes Schulek, János Schulek, conducted the other restoration project after its near destruction during World War II.

My favorite place in Budapest! I took this photo in March 2018. And it's merely one part of the Fisherman's Bastion.

Fisherman's bastion is a viewing terrace on Buda castle hill with great views over Danube. The terrace appears older than it is, as it has only been built in early 1900s. The area is popular with tourists, so the cafes and vendors are a bit overpriced. Come for the view, and enjoy a moment of feeling like a Disney-princess (or a prince).
The medieval church of Matthias is situated on a busy town square in Buda. I admired the colorful bricks and beautiful pattern on the roof. Later I discovered that the church had been heavily damaged in World War II, and has been renovated twice after that.
The view from the terrace of Fisherman's Bastion is quite spectacular, I wish the weather had been clearer. If you visit by day, like me, return here for awesome early evening pictures!

The room was "as pictured" and nice. I still dislike (seems to be a European thing) of having only a portion of the shower (no bathtub - which is fine) covered by a glass partition. As a result, expect some water to splash across the floor. The hotel does have a great view of the river and Buda.
