Our stay was exactly what we wanted: quiet, remote, nature, and a bonfire on the river! We’ll definitely be back. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with no frills, but a homey and cozy experience, this is it!

Our ten pound dog was welcomed by attentive staff making check in easy. The motel is well worn and dated with smoking left overs outside. The heating was old but worked well and controlled well. The beds were very comfortable and the place quiet and dark.

Pool was under maintenance (but it's too cold for swimming anyways) so that didn't bother me. For the most part it was peaceful and relaxing (except for the noisy children from the Polar Express - you could easily hear them running and stomping around through the walls)

The hotel is outdated and it was clean except for a couple of spiders in the room and dirty towels that the maid used to wipe down the room before we got there (I guess she forgot them) but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Bed was comfy and location easy to find, other than that if you dont have a budget and dont want to stay in a fancy hotel stay here. Bathrooms are horrible and rooms are old not updated at all and the A/C was old and full of rust.

You get what you pay for, but we were not expecting how run down and shabby this hotel is. Dirty, numerous attempted fixes, paper thin doors, and even found unused women’s diapers in our restroom cabinet. The river behind the motel, very nice staff at check in, and its location are the bright spots.

Great place, quiet location, good people.

I had a King room with a nice little porch looking out over the river. For my purposes, this location is perfect - quiet and relatively natural environment that is still roadside and able to get to a large number of hiking trails and towns all within 15 minutes. The front desk was warm and welcoming - the guy there is chill in a friendly way.

I liked Lloyds on the River. Here is what Lloyds is: it is rustic and perfectly fits the mountain vibe of the area. I wanted to avoid the chain motels, and this place is definitely like a mom and pop. Just about every room looks different. My room was very clean with fresh new looking bedding. The walls were a nice rustic paneling. My one complaint was that the heater/AC unit made a horrible racket. I had to turn it off the sleep, so it got really cold in there. This might be a deal breaker for some folks, but it didn’t bother me that much. It was worth it to stay in a clean and unique motel.

I arrived five minutes before the office closed. The young man was friendly and when I was given a key (a KEY!) I was thrilled. This place is a classic, road side motel. It's old but clean. Nice bed, shower was small but with very hot water, microwave and 'fridge. I had a balcony room right on the river with two rocking chairs. Both nights I stayed there there were logs burning in a fire pit right next to the river so the sent of a campfire filled the air. When I turned in my key the young man said he hoped I'd return because "You're family now." Wonderful, old-school place with a lot of charm.

The location is excellent. On the river, my room opened to the patio with picnic tables and rocking chairs. The front had rocking chairs to sit back and enjoy the scenery. The room was good, but the plumbing needs a little work.

Enjoyable stay

The motel wasn’t the most attractive outside but walked in the room and it was surprisingly clean! Comfortable beds, you could smell the clean comforter, freshly cleaned and enjoyed our stay! Will definitely stay again when needed 💙

Staff made us feel like family. Lovely older motel situated on the banks of a river. This gave us an opportunity to relax and enjoy the rocking chairs outside our room overlooking the river. Beds were comfortable. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, quiet, and a good value. Will stay there again when in the area.
