"Rooms are super damp! The pillows are wet! The rug is wet! Everything is moist! My clothes got all damp!"

"The hotel and room were very clean and quiet. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. This is our second time staying there and when we’re in the area we will stay again. Highly recommend."

"Very clean and convenient to downtown"

"It’s an older hotel, I’m sure soon to be renovated. Bathroom fixtures, sinks, shower/tub are dated but all very clean. Staff was super helpful and it’s of course right on the beach with 2 pools so the location is perfect. The VALUE is terrific."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Salty Mermaid! The location was great, especially being so close to the beach. The room was comfortable and clean, and the property had a nice, relaxed beach atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was convenient. We also loved being able to walk around and enjoy everything New Smyrna Beach has to offer. Overall, it was a very enjoyable getaway, and we would definitely consider staying here again!"

"Great experience"

"Clean property. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Quiet property. Tommy and his wife were amazing hosts. Restaurants and shops within walking distance or a 3 min. drive. Beach is 5 minutes by car. Property is pet friendly."

"I like everything about this place."

"Nice place, close to where we needed to be."

The water pressure in the shower was barely enough to wet the washcloth at times. The bathroom mirror had a film on it that made it difficult to see to apply makeup. Had to stand in the corner to see clearly in on section. Looks like portions of the hotel has been renovated however the bathroom renovation is not...
