"Clean room bit no safety box , no drawers or cupboards"

"Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again."

"Nice sizeable and comfortable room. Unfortunately it was quite hot due to it being on the second floor and after a string of hotter than usual days, not helped by the fact that the heated towel rail (from the hot water system) couldn't be shut off. But a great old pub to stay in all the same. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant."

Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! "We stayed for one night and unfortunately were quite disappointed with our experience. The air conditioning in our room was not working, which made it extremely hot and uncomfortable, especially as there were no windows that could be opened for ventilation. The bar staff were also very unhelpful. They seemed reluctant to serve customers and repeatedly told us they had run out of ingredients for mocktails. The overall service felt poor and unwelcoming. "Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history"
