"Josie was very friendly and welcoming. Very attentive and couldnt do enough. We were offered a much needed hot drink on arrival which was brought to our room. Our room was very clean, more than enough tea, coffee etc, it even had dressing gowns. Little touches of Usb points on plugs and even a little chocolate each. We felt veey welcomed."

"The only problems we had is the shampoo and body wash was empty and the heating doesn't come on until 8 pm so the room was cold to start with. But that's it . The team where excellent and good / was brilliant. Would stay here again"

"We did not stay at this hotel as when we went to check in the hotel advised that they were double booked and they had arranged an alternative hotel. When we got to the alternative hotel the rooms were not ready and it was 7.45pm before we finally got into our room. "Place is managed by one man Tom who was very nice ...Owner was off to Birmingham as we arrived and another lady disappeared when I spoke to her so not much of a welcome . Place needs work and cleaning tbh ... Basic standards are a must especially in a town with so much competition.. Hotel had two names which doesn't help.Think we were the only ones there but we were the only ones for breakfast ... Took a while to get any response from anyone as place was deserted but got there in the end ...Tom...

"Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was water in the mini fridge and a Nespresso machine for coffee. I would highly recommend the Housekeeping Team, they do an amazing job. We have been staying at Formby Hall for 20 years or so and the one thing that has let it down has been the food quality and breakfast service, so this stay we were very pleased to see the improvements made to the whole breakfast experience.
