"The area isn’t the nicest, however it is slap bang in the centre of a city which makes it very convenient. That said, I was be try pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked into the hotel as it’s lovely and clean and done up to a great standard. The staff were great and the complementary mini bar was a bonus. Would definitely stay again"

"Lovely 2 night stay. Super Comfy bed which is a plus for those with a bad back or hip..slept so well. Spacious room even though we booked the smallest category. Wonderful rain shower. L'Occitane branded hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Quiet air con so was able to keep on all night without it being noisy. Window opens ever so slightly so lovely breeze comes in. We were there when the weather was +30 degrees celcuis. Great views of the Gorge and Clifton Bridge from the bar /pub terrace! Staff friendly and will helpful to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Lovely ambience in the hotel. Quiet at night. Didn't hear any noise in the morning, not even from the house maids. They have certain number of parking permits for those with a car or there's paid parking £12 at the back of the hotel. Free parking after 9pm ON Saturday on Monday 9am. Clifton is a lovely area to stay away from the city noise yet so close to get into the city. Several buses serve the city or a short taxi ride. Highly recommend."

"The staff and the hotel were excellent. Can't fault this hotel. The only exception, I order a vegetarian pizza to take to my room and it came smelling of pepperoni and there was circles in the cheese were it had been removed. I took it back to the desk, however the manager was adamant it was not the case. I let the pizza there and went back to my room. But that was the only negative experience on this visit."

"Very good location. Room spacious with a nice view. Parking very useful. Deducted one star as could see some dust is higher areas and vacuums could not reach between wardrobe and window so was quite dusty."

"There was a bag of rubbish outside our room when we arrived. The tub had a ball of hair and gunk stuck in the drain. Very dated, we do not recommend."
