"Once we had found the entrance which isn't that well sign-posted (my only complaint), we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room and the relative ease of parking (we only had to pay until 6pm and Sundays are free). Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, given that the menu in the room only mentioned continental style but plentiful, good quality hot food was available. "The first room I got the toilet wasn't clean, so they changed me. Still, it could be cleaner, but it was acceptable. The staff was amazing! Very welcoming and kind. Comfortable bed and very silent inside. Although it is in the middle of nowhere you can easily get Uber and so many lovely villages and nature around. It's worth it!"

"Staff were really lovely and helpful. A minor issue (lightbulb in main light had gone) was resolved in minutes. Room was clean and warm, bathroom was dated but clean and the shower was really powerful! Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as my daughter is fussy! The hotel is ideally located for the town centre, piece hall and eureka, and parking is a 1 minute walk away. "I was kept fully informed of the check-in procedure (there si no desk), room information and even warnings about local road closures by email from Karen. The room was marvellous; clean, spacious and with a very shiny bathroom. The bed was the best I've slept in for ages and the quiet made for an excellent night's sleep. A lovely touch was the porridge pot and pain au chocolat left out for breakfast. The setting is spectacular; high above Sowerby Bridge with stunning views across the valley. "
