"The complex was in very poor condition with the grounds and out door aminities in dire need of TLC. The room had no kitcken one pot and no utensils. There was a shared outsude room kitchen facility use at your own risk. The wifi didnt work so the tv and internet were unavailsble. Apparently hadnt worked for 3 years. Same with the attached bar and resturant. Which left dining options limited. "

"Stayed here for a night before a Doubtful Sound cruise. The location was perfect (right down the street from the RealNZ ferry). The facilities were simple but very comfy. Right along the water with multiple paths around the grounds. Felt like a cool little community with many different travelers. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to this area!"

"We chose this location as we knew it would be a bit quirky, and it definitely delivered on this. The check in time was chaotic, with only one person and a short time period to arrive, lots of campers without reservations were queueing up to be booked in. Our motel unit had all the amenities we needed, with a full kitchen. The shower was hot, with good water pressure, all good as long as you aren't too tall. "Awesome place if you’re out these ways. Philippa and Rob are amazing hosts. We got a garden view room with a lovely view. Convenient location. The hosts let us park at theirs while we were on the overnight cruise in Doubtful Sound. Breakfast was included and it was a clocked breakfast. Will definitely stay again"

"All was good. The woman at the desk was very helpful. There is a coin laundry room at the motel we did laundry. And a gas BBQ we wheeled over to the front of our unit to cook dinner. Everything was modern and in working order. Our unit was all one room with a useful kitchenette and supplies. Too cold to try the little patio out back but the spa was nice. Had to check out early the next morning to catch the boat cruise and guided walk adventure."
