"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. "The staff were wonderful, the rooms clean and functional, but the property is a huge maze and not easy to find your way around. The "high tub/shower" amenities are not the safest to use."

"The rooms were okay, but they could definitely use some updating. My biggest issue was with the drop-off situation at the front entrance. I stopped briefly to unload bags and was later charged £35 for being there more than five minutes, even though I specifically asked at the front desk beforehand and was told it would be fine. That experience completely ruined the stay for me. Poor communication and unfair charges are unacceptable. Unfortunately, because of this, I will never stay here again."
