Great choice for Braga!

Great selection and in a very convenient location. The staff extremely nice and helpful! Very clean and with a decent breakfast. I would chooce it again.

Great location and easy walking to all the main areas of Braga. Parking was a plus in front of the hotel or across the street in their garage if spots are not available. Friendly and helpful staff. room was comfortable and decently cleaned. Breakfast was decent.

Loved it

I was totally pleased with our overnight stay at the hotel. I booked it because the hotel has a few parking spaces, and we were lucky to score one. But the hotel itself is great, easy check in, friendly staff, comfortable beds, spacious room, nice clean bathroom, nice breakfast included, in the historical center of Braga.

Great town centre location with only 6 car spaces.

Only 6 free parking spaces available which was not made clear on booking site. Staff very helpful but unable to accommodate parking issues. Not a good start to a break when you either have to feed the meter every 2 hours or park at extra expense. Great location otherwise. Breakfast was basic .

Braga is beautiful! Hotel Dona Sofia is also very lovely. When I checked in, I had a wonderful experience. The place was lovely, my room was great, everything was super clean. The night time staff was great. However, that night my A/C didn't work and it was in the upper 30's Celsius. The next day, I had to change rooms because I had made the reservations separately, and that's where the problem began. The day time front desk person is among the rudest I have encountered during my travels through Europe. I did bring that up, and they apologized, but it seems to be a local attitude because I found it everywhere I went, which made my trip very short. The second room was just as lovely and clean, but the A/C only worked for half the night. So, in the end a Hotel that could have gotten 4 stars is getting 3. For summer in Portugal you need to have A/C, and basic civility from your staff is a requirement.

Hotel muito acolhedor, atendimento excelente, café da manhã farto é bem gostoso. Muito bem localizado, dá para fazer muita coisa a pé. O quarto de bom tamanho, roupas de cama e banho de boa qualidade, chuveiro bom. O estacionamento em frente ao hotel é grátis mas pequeno, na primeira noite colocamos o carro em uma garagem indicada pela recepção, na segunda conseguimos parar na frente. Recomendo muito este hote, ficamos muito satisfeitos com a estadia.

Ótima opção de estadia em Braga

Hotel muito bem localizado na zona central desta linda e acolhedora cidade histórica, com poucas vagas de estacionamento disponível, o que demandou a busca de uma garagem paga (com desconto de 20%) ao custo de 8 Euros/dia; equipe não explicou a possibilidade de, a exemplo de Aveiro, utilizar vagas públicas nas ruas ao custo de 2 Euros no período de 9 as 19 hs ... outro problema foi que mesmo nosso quarto sendo no segundo andar com acesso por elevador, tivemos que descer meio lance de escadas com as malas [somos ambos idosos!]. O café da manhã é muito bom, assim como o quarto, conforto, etc, considerando o valor das diárias.
