"The Barns Hotel is a great place to stay. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean and there is free parking.
The restaurant served reasonably priced food and the breakfast was lovely.
The manager kept the bar open until we had all returned from a local festival.
We would stay here again in the future 😁

"Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal.

"We stayed recently for 2 nights as a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby). The room was small but comfortable and had all the amenities we required. The breakfast was delicious with a great range of food choices. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel location was good and easy to find. Plenty of parking spaces outside. "
"I had a great stay for 2 nights here whilst away on business. Smooth and friendly check in and I had an excellent kitchenette room. Check out the lovely view!
Would recommended for the price."
"This property was spotlessly clean, tidy and very well equipped making it a great base to suit our needs in a great location.
Thank you Susan for accommodating us 👍"
"After many years of attending this well appointed hotel finally i got an upgrade. The hotel is well situated for walks along Shakespeare's smug Trent. The Burton Bridge Brewery is over the road. Town centre a short walk. Parking more than adequate. I think if you can put up with the road noise of a weekend its one of the best hotels in town. Parking my confuse some as the hotel is on an island. Check during winter for flooding which can close the old bridge. Popular during the towns annual...
"Felt like coming home Yvette is so helpful and kind. Parked in the car park and came back when my room was ready. Fantastic super size bed and kettle, fan etc. and right in the heart of town. "
"We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need. "Elaine over provided a wonderful breakfast and was helpful with giving us info on the area. When a canal ride was oversold she personally drove there to attain tickets. Property was beautiful and presents pastoral England as we pictured it. I highly recommend this property"
