"Room was clean (although there was a half eaten pizza from the last guests that the cleaners missed and was there throughout our stay), the basic service was great breakfast was good and staff were helpful and friendly. The view from the bar and restaurant was great. As it was a special occasion we had paid extra to upgrade the room and were a bit disappointed with that. We paid for a signature sea view room and while we did have a sea view all we could see from our bed was the wall of the hotel, so couldn’t really enjoy it. The room was also quite tight and looked like we had been given one of the smallest on the floor which was also disappointing. I would stay here again but would say that the upgrades are not worth it. Stick to a standard room and you won’t be disappointed. "

"Never had to queue into a car park to check in before. Incredibly slow and only one member of staff. Had to provide my details even though I’d checked in online and entered everything on Holiday.com website. One member of staff for Sat breakfast who was completely overwhelmed and couldn’t keep up with topping up food and cleaning tables. Lodge felt dirty and front doors constantly broken. The whole place needs a refresh! Thanks for regular 5.30am wake up calls from the bin lorries or deliveries. Just what you want when taking a break. Very mediocre hotel and I won’t be booking there again. "

"The staff were nice and welcoming. Bharat is a good asset to this hotel. Breakfast was average. Same limited menu. Room is spacious but carpets need proper cleaning. The location is very good amd the hotel in itself is really nice. "

"Clean hotel, decent facilities, pool nice and warm, usually you can find parking outside unless it’s peak season. But scored down because they had no vegetarian sasuages despite us mentioning when we checked in. This is unforgivable in this day and age as there was no alternative and a lack of initiative to solve the issue eg go to the local coop and get some. Not very inclusive… "

"The room we stayed in was very dirty, hairs all over the bathroom sink and marks on the walls. Found a false nail on the window sill. The furnishings were worn and damaged. We ended up moving rooms because it was so dirty. The property is very dated and you could hear everything in the rooms above and next to us. The hot tub needed to be cleaned and the water was not hot. The pool was ok!"
