Perfect location in Boppard

Fantastic location, what a lovely town. The host was lovely and very friendly. The place is old but what does one expect in an old town. Yes there are stairs, but not an inconvenience. Yes it's right next to railway, but didn't bother me. There are window shutters you can close (, a previous review complained about the bright room🤔). Iverall I enjoyed my stay,safe,secure,clean,spacious room and bed was comfy. What more can one ask?

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht da, die Unterkunft ist von aussen sowie das Treppenhaus etwas älter, aber das Zimmer war super! geräumig, modern eingerichtet und ruhig. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. Gerne wieder

h Hotellet var bra,med kort avstand til senrum. Men beliggenheten var dessverre ikke bra, med kirkeklokker som klang hvert kvarter døgnet rundt. Og ikke nok med det, jernbanen gikk også døgnet rundt rett ved siden av.

Wonderful location. It is one block from the main square. And a short walk to the hbf train station or to the tourist boat docks. Our room had a lovely view of the Roman arch and a pretty church. The was some cigarette smell in the hall, but our room was smoke free. The room was clean and very big. The bathroom was nice. We were glad that there was a fan in the closet otherwise it would have been too warm to sleep. We opened the windows and turned on the fan and were comfortable. There was a couple window units that I think were AC’s but they didn’t reall cool. There is a lot of train noise, but that didn’t bother me at all. Slept right thru it. But they do provide ear plugs if you think it will be an issue for you. Overall we were happy with the room. Check in was easy, but you have to arrive during their stated check in hours or make arrangements for another time.

Cheaper hotel not the best quality but ok

Nice lady who owns it but she does everything from reception to breakfast. When you arrive you have to ring a door bell, and you get a front key as well as room key. It's basically one of the cheaper places to stay, all other nicer hotels were booked out hence had to stay here. The room had a double bed but very small , tiny desk. Tiny ensuite bathroom, think downstairs toilet with shower type thing. Very noisy due to proximity to train line which has freight trains going past throughout the day and night. Earplugs are provided however so that was good. The central square with restaurants is literally just around the corner which is great. Lovely restaurants and cafes.

Good Value for the Cost

The hotel is great value for the cost. Well located within 1 block of the main square and 2 blocks within the Rhein River. Boppard was a pleasant town with many food opportunities. The hotel is near the main train travel which didn’t bother me.

Fine small hotel ! Like !

very near to shopping possibilities, city center and marketplace, not far to the rhine. Parking is a bit to walk but for free (Parkingdeck near the traintrack).

Sehr gute Lage und schönes Zimmer

Die Lage ist der Hammer, das Zimmer war super, der Name Sonnenhof ist sehr verdient. Leider waren wir an einem verlängerten Wochenende dort, an dem das Wetter extrem heiß war - da wurde die sonnenverwöhnte Lage zum Bumerang und das Zimmer zur Sauna. Aber das Problem besteht zu anderen Temperaturbedingungen ja nicht. Leider war davon auch das Frühstück betroffen, auf dessen Kühlung man wohl nicht eingestellt war. Dies hat den Gesamteindruck und die Teilwertung des Themas Sauberkeit leider etwas beeinträchtigt. Aber unter anderen klimatischen Bedingungen ist das Haus bestimmt empfehlenswert.

Quaint little hotel just off the beaten path but still great location. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and well appointed. Tea, but no coffee in room. We loved our couple of days here. We could have stayed a bit longer. We would highly recommend this more reasonably priced hotel over the pricier ones in the area, unless you want a view of the Rhine.

Das Hotel ist in einer Lage gelegen, in denen Züge der Nord Süd Achse in geringer Entfernung mit max. Geschwindigkeit vorbei rasen. Dementsprechend ist die Geräuschkulisse. Geschlossene Schallschutzfenster helfen da nur bedingt. Das Frühstück ist dafür sehr schmackhaft.

Small,comfortable and convenient

Boppard is beautiful and this hotel is right in town, situated alongside 4th century Roman ruins and an easy walk from ferries and trains (HBf). Rooms are small but everything is there and very very clean. The clock chimes loudly until 10pm. The trains run frequently until about that time but we heard nothing that disturbed sleeping. Breakfast is excellent, served by the host and hostess.

Boppard stay

The Hotel-Restaurant Sonnerhof doesn't have a restaurant. There are plenty nearby however. Of more concern was no internet, which we were informed was a short-term issue, but due to a bank holiday it wasn't repaired whilst we were there. Not great and not great value

El hotel tiene un horario de recepción, pero en la web no lo dice, por lo tanto no reserves pasada las 22:00, porque te llega la confirmación reserva a tu correo, pero no entraras como nos paso a mi pareja y a mi, a dormir en el coche

Clean, cozy, charming, and a great value!

I really wish we'd have checked in earlier and stayed longer. This was a great hotel and the surrounding town was charming and at our doorstep. The room was spacious and very clean, with a great bathroom and shower, and a comfortable bed. Good wifi and lots of power ports. We had a car and parking was free and right nearby. If you wanted to travel by train, they are right nearby and there's lots of them! Next time we go to Germany, we'll stay a few days for sure!
