The drive to Boothbay Harbour from the closest international airport in Portland, Maine takes about about 1.25 hours Take the train from Boston or Portland and rent a car in Brunswick for a scenic 45-minute drive down the peninsula to Boothbay Harbour. The town comes alive in the spring and summer. Visit in the winter for a cold and quiet but wonderful holiday experience.

I would give this 5 stars, but... The good: very pet friendly. The rooms are well suited for pets, and BONUS: there's an amazing pretty park literally right next door over a pretty wood bridge - there are loops from 1/2 to 2 miles. Bed was comfy. There were ample outlets, lots of bedside lights. ...

I love this place! It is so unique! Our room at the end of the building had 3 windows looking out on Boothbay Harbor. The lobster here is magnificent, and The Tugboat Inn is so affordable.
