The inclusive breakfast was brilliant value included within the room rate. The receptionist when we arrived Sat evening was great and knew what he was doing. "Quite disappointed. Took a little longer than expected with check in. Appreciate it was after 11, however, the bar was still operating and thus noisy. I enquired if there was an event due to the volume. Check in team asked if I had been before, I explained I had not but then had to keep asking about amenities eg when and where breakfast took place and how to find the lift to the bedrooms. Although the room was considered to be an upgrade we decided to decline that offer, due to this. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at the ibis Styles Birmingham Centre for one night and, considering we only paid £46.69, we were genuinely impressed. The reception area was clean, spacious and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They showed us where we were on a map and pointed out nearby attractions, including directions to the Utilita Arena where we were attending an event. A nice touch was the complimentary tea and coffee available in reception, along with water and juice in the dining...

Bad: not clean, smelled cleaning products when we arrived, took a while for te smell to go away. didnt bring extra pilows when i asked fot it, the reception said that it was on the way but never received it. However the room was not well maintained with a cracked pane of glass in the window, grubby corners, badly marked paintwork. Having booked the room online and seen it - I was not advised that the room was in the attic, and that there were 2 flights of stairs to access it. the second one being very steep and narrow.
