"Because this hotel recently came under new ownership, it had very few reviews when I booked. However, I was extremely pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The lobby and dining areas have already been redesigned in a classy, boutique style.
While the guest rooms haven't been remodeled yet (meaning the decor doesn't quite match the updated common spaces) they are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel actually has rendering plans on display showing their future vision, and it’s going to be an incredible property over the next few years. My only concern is that as these upgrades finish, prices will rise and make it less affordable for solo travelers like me."
"Place was a surprise. Close to what we were planning on doing but not what we were expecting. Owner gave us some great tips and we experienced some great Irish music and food at the local bars. Was one of the highlights of our trip. Had one of the best Irish stews we had on our trip. Breakfast was also very good"
"Staff couldn't have been nicer!!! Location is ideal. Breakfast is delicious and abundant. Small glitch with room found us in a two bedroom apartment that was pristine and well-appointed (Atlantic Apts). We would definitely rent one of these beautiul apts next time. Steps to great restaurants and pubs with live music. A minute walk to the beach area. Also convenient (5 mins) to free shuttle that runs from just south of LaHinch all the way to Doolin. I used it for Cliffs of Moher and Ennyiston."
"We had a fantastic stay at Clybaun Hotel in Galway!
From arrival the staff were so welcoming. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the little touch of receptionist giving the children ice cream was such a lovely surprise — they loved it!
Clean, spacious rooms very comfortable. Bed was great.
We asked for restaurant recommendations for dinner and good information was passed to us. We didn't have breakfast.
The hotel is about 10-15 minutes drive to Galway city center, with parking on site which made it really convenient for us.
No complaints at all. Staff were friendly throughout and went above and beyond. Amazing value and we would 100% stay again and recommend to families."
