This is a house that dates from 1869 that is kept in that style with lots of old time features, it has got sir con and modernish bathrooms., but if you want taking back in time this is a place to stay. The staff are great and the breakfast too.
Great place to stay! The history of the house is amazing and the staff is knowledgeable. Convenient to downtown Bloomington for dinner. The breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again.
A beautiful mansion and bed & breakfast, gave us the tour and history, great friendly staff, a lovely breakfast, wonderful ambience! Definitely recommend!
The property has a lot of History to it. And the owners are awesome people that put a lot of effort and time into keeping it a gorgeous place. Definitely worth a weekend getaway for a couple
What an amazing experience. Not just “a place to stay”. True beauty, history, elegance, and a glimpse into life sooo many years ago. Thankful that we get to be a part of this wonderful home! Thank you!! Would highly recommend!
Lovely antique items all around. Well kept historical property! Friendly check in with tour, comfortable stay, and easy check out. Really a unique stay as opposed to an ordinary hotel. Thank you!
It was a cool, old mansion with lots of history.
My room had very nice tolietries, and a very comfortable bed with wonderful sheets and pillow cases.
Breakfast was delicious, and was extra nice due to the other guests that I got to visit with.
We recieved a warm welcome and tour of the mansion upon arrival. Our beautiful room was enormous and we had a stylish antique bathroom located across the hall. Breakfast was amazing and we had wonderful conversation with the other guests. The piano downstairs can be played by anyone, and one of the couples were playing and singing, which my husband really enjoyed. Our stay was short, so we weren't able to explore the neighborhood as we would have liked. We would love to return and stay longer.
My stay at Vrooman was very positive overall. I was tired of the same old hotels and wanted to experience something new for the one night I would be in Bloomington, IL, And this place was so unique I wasn't disappointed. I stayed in the Masters Chambers, a beautiful huge bedroom with a detached personal bathroom. I appreciated the period accurate and historical decor In the room, as well as throughout the home. I also really enjoyed the breakfast the morning after. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful, and even though I hate mushrooms with a passion, I felt I had to give the mushroom souffle a try. And I'm glad I did! All in all, it's a great place to stay if you want something different. Staff was also very helpful and had great communication and dedication to problem solving even through a tiny issue I had during my stay. Would definitely stay again, and you should too!
Beautiful historic property. Staff were phenomenal as was the breakfast. Bed was super comfy and loved the cushy robes provided. Definitely would stay again.
