"What a gem of a Property - absolutely perfect We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return again. You do need a car to be able to get out and about and explore the lovely area, we managed to get to Truro (Healeys Cider Farm)/Perranporth, Boscastle and Instow (perfect for our dogs, who enjoyed the run on the beach) and all within about an hour away and then you come back to a very comfortable property, at the end of your day to relax and unwind. Would certainly recommend. "

"The room was great, the staff very friendly but what was outstanding was the food, what a surprise it was, pub food is normally quite boring in my opinion but this was anything but. Pork belly mash and the most delicious red cabbage I've ever had and I've travelled a lot and eaten a lot in my travels, this was up there with the best. "

"We stayed at no 5 lake view. The property was very dirty. No Internet connection. We couldn't complain at the time as we arrived late due to traffic. No hot water for shower next morning. "Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude. Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back. A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day. Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. "A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before.
