We stayed at Little Rushbrook cottages while visiting an event at the NEC, which was about 14 miles away. Checking in was very easy, parking was right outside the front door and the cottage was clean warm and comfortable, situated in a peaceful rural setting but still close to the city. We particularly liked the breakfast basket provided. it would have been nice to meet the owners and explore the area a bit more, but maybe next time.

Great little place

We enjoyed our stay at Little Rushbrook cottages very much. Communication was excellent, the accommodation clean and well equipped for our stay. Good quality tea bags (always worth mentioning) a lively outside space and very comfy bed. Thank you Christine for a lovely stay.

A very comfortable little cottage, just right for 2 people. Very clean , excellent bed, al cooking facilities, good tv settee and breakfast table.. Most pleasant garden , plenty of car parking space. No local shops, just a 24 hour garage 5 minutes away. Peaceful and situated in a country lane..

The property was great. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights. It is on a farm. There are two beautiful horses that came to say hello to us and 2 sweet dogs. We were provided with eggs from the chickens outside. The surrounding area was lovely; there are many public paths for us to walk on. The property had a stove, oven, microwave, and toaster. The bathroom was ensuite and clean. There is an outside seating area to have your meals outside. Enjoyed my time there.

Lovely weekend away Quiet

It was a beautiful weekend and felt the need to get away. The property is on a quiet lane and the garden is lovely to look at. Nice patio area to eat outside. The bed was so comfortable too. Fully equipped kitchen. I felt really relaxed. I would love to go back as it’s only an hour away but felt like a holiday. The owner is lovely and so are the little dogs that come and say hello.

First visit, hopefully not the last.

I stayed at Little Rushbrook Cottages as a preferred alternative to a hotel when working in Shirley. I arrived in the evening to find the cottage nicely warmed up (it was cold out), immaculately clean and very well presented. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook, and had a fresh litre of milk in the fridge along with tea, coffee and sugar. Some breakfast foods (cereals, porridges and jams) were also provided. The bedroom was very comfortable, lots of storage to unpack your cases and plenty of sockets for the all important phone & tablet chargers. The en-suite shower room was immaculate, the water was hot and plenty of towels available, and a full set of toiletries if you have forgotten anything. It's a quiet country village area, with some good restaurants nearby, and Christine that runs the cottages is very pleasant. The horses in the stables next door all add to it. There's ample parking, in fact the only down side was that when I looked at booking for the next visit, my dates were not available. I'll keep trying though.

My stay could not have been better. I had booked my stay upon reading previous reviews, but it's fair to say my expectations were passed. The cottage was clean with every little thing thought of. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a full meal with. There was a comfy sofa and footstool with a cosy rug. Magazines and books to read and a big TV with Freeview. I loved sitting outside and listening to the silence more than anything else. Such a beautiful location and the Christine's dogs were real character and her horses were beautiful too. I also loved watching the wild rabbits hop around on the lawn! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the shower was good too. There were free toiletries in the bathroom, washing up and cleaning items in the kitchen and enough food for a simple breakfast. I can't believe I've wasted so much money on hotels when staying in the area on business before. Little Rushbrook Cottages will always be my first choice when in the area in the future. I got so much worse done thanks to the great WIFI and peace and left feeling rested and relaxed. Thank you so much Christine.

A Fantastic Alternative to a Hotel

Beautiful Property in a great location, with a really friendly host. When I think about the prices you can pay for Business in a typical Large chain Hotel, and then compare to small, personable places like Rushbrook, there really is no comparison. Plenty of space, relaxing grounds, onsite animals, great WIFI, desk space, comfy bed and only a 5 min drive from the local supermarket, yet seems worlds apart when you are relaxing on the lawn. Highly recommend and will be back for sure.

A little gem in the countryside. Complete with full well equipped kitchen, outside seating area, lawned gardens, friendly staff, spotlessly clean and a few little extras provided. There is nothing not to like. Ideal for someone passing through or for someone who wishes to set up “home away from home” for a longer period.

Peaceful Home From Home

Compact but clean, comfy and cozy 2 room Cottage. Great to come back to after a long day at the office. Nice to have a separate living room / bedroom combo. Everything you need is there and nice touches with bread, butter and milk provided. Lovely people and lovely place.
