The room was clean but in need of modernising though looked like it had had a lick of paint. We found silverfish bugs in the beds but managed to put them down the sink, though they reappeared. Clean bedding and towels were provided with tea/coffee and a TV. Good central location with Birmingham New Street a short walk away. They provide breakfast but we opted to eat out. It cost around £350 for two nights which I thought was quite a lot for the quality of the room but the location was very central.

I was disappointed when I go to the room the hotel is pet friendly. And the reception gave me a room that was pet friendly smelly. Stinky. I went back to the receptionist .and they gave me another room. It was much better. But small . Air conditioning wasn't working. But l managed to make it true the night. Breakfast was perfect

We had a really great stop at this hotel when visiting Birmingham. Clean bright room, smooth check in, friendly staff and lovely buffet breakfast. The underground parking is also useful, but be aware that the entrance is very tight. Well definitely stay there again.

Everything was close by. Staff was helpful as I left my flip flop there when j checked out and totally forgotten to grab them. I called and they asked me to email so that they can look into the house keeping to see if it was handover. Within 24 hours they got back to me and they've found it and kept it for me until I came back. Lovely and honest staff

A colleague and I were running a course here and I must say the facilities, and service we received from all members of staff was top notch. We stayed three nights, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower room was - let's say - 'bijou'! Breakfast was hot and tasty. All in all we were very satisfied. One of the members of staff in particular - Ingrid - is an absolute legend!

We have stopped in most of the hotels in Birmingham over the years and so far this IBIS has been the cleanest, most friendly staff and the best value for money. Location is excellent for China Town, Grand Central, New Street Station & the Hippodrome as well as central Birmingham. We had a drink at the bar when we got in last night, and the staff could have been friendlier. Reception staff were also great. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean bathroom, plenty of space. Will definitely stay again
