Awesome Stay!

The staff were very accommodating and the location was beautiful. Easily accessible and close to everything! I would definitely stay here again and I’m recommending Golden Near a cottage to all my family and friends.

I’ll stay here again

I really liked this place. Clean, comfortable cabin with a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plate, etc). Very friendly staff. Great location near Boulder Bay Park.

Great Place for a Vacation!

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was comfortable, they provided everything I needed, and when I had an issue with the stove, they immediately came and fixed it. The pool was lovely, the grounds were clean and there was ample outdoor space for me to walk my dogs away from other clients staying there. It was close to the lake, close to shops and restaurants and a very nice place all around!

I liked the interior of the cabin and how it was very cozy, clean and had a vintage look.It does need some work on the outside area though. The staff was very friendly and easy to access.

What a pleasant experience! The staff was so friendly and very helpful. I was a last minute late night booking and they made me feel very welcomed. My cabin was a little gem. Wish I could live there year round!

Great place to stay and can even take your dog!

It was a cute rustic cabin, and it was so clean. When we got there we enjoyed all the amenities that were provided they gave us coffee to making the coffee maker, which is a sweet surprise. For my preference the beds were a little bit on the southside but I know some people like softer beds than I do. The owners are really sweet and very helpful. All in all was a great place to stay. And one of the only properties that accept pets.

100 stars! I love this place and will come back often. It was clean comfortable and the owners were kind and patient. They were up late for my late last minute arrival. I was in Fuzzy Bear 27 and felt at home. I had everything I needed and felt safe. Thank you so much for having me! I will be back many times in the future!

We booked a cabin with the Jacuzzi in the cabin, but when we checked in, it was broken down and said do not use. They did switch us to a cabin that had the Jacuzzi tub instead. Overall, it was a nice day, and the cabins are kept clean and they’re comfortable. It seems they’re under new management or new ownership, but the man working was very kind and we would definitely come back!

We returned to this property because of the volleyball and basketball nets, the pool and the playground. However, they no longer had a basketball or volleyball to borrow, some of the swings were broken, and they didn't heat the pool and it was ice cold. Nice place to be cozy and cool with the family. The cabin was rustic and cozy . I liked that it had plenty of beds and a whole kitchen. I liked all the family friendly perks like playground basketball court volleyball net horse shoes grills and picnic tables.The pool and hot tub were nice as well. I wish the fire pit was working so we could have utilized it but s’mores using the grill worked just fine. The place isn’t real fancy more homie and cozy but I liked that about it . It was peaceful and the family had a good time. Five minutes drive away is the village shops and a great park we also really enjoyed. All in all it had everything we needed at a great price and I would prefer to stay at this cozy cabin rather some overpriced fancy hotel.I would love to see it in the winter time as it seems that is the primary season for this little town but it was a great place to stay cool and enjoy some nature in the summer time.

Good for a budget - it is what it is.

Great budget option for families. A lot of the amenities listed were not available. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating though. The hot tub was never hot, it turned green/brown and smelly by the time we left. The kids had fun in the pool though and it was cool/clean. The beds were “ok” comfort wise, they could use to be updated and pillows replaced but the sheets were clean, soft and fresh. Everything is outdated/rustic but clean enough. Clean dishes and fully stocked kitchen cookware was a plus. Overall we wouldn’t book it again but it’s a great option if you’re on a budget looking for a place for your family. Smooth experience with check in/out and overall it “got the job done”.

Not what we expected.

The cabin was nice, The manager is very accommodating. He gave us whatever we asked for. He gave us an outdoor umbrella and chairs as we were going to the beach. We also asked for balls so the kids could play and he gave them to us. The swimming pool was very clean. The cabin was very hot specially upstairs we had fans but because of the weather, it did not cool the place The resort is on a very busy street, so there was a lot of traffic on a very busy road. There was constant road traffic. Definitely not a quiet place . there were some things that needed to be fixed , And I did mention it to the manager. The coffee pot needed to be replaced the battery for the fire alarm also needed replacement. The resort is dated, It’s obvious that this cabins have been around for a long time and not much upkeep has been done to them, they need a lot of work, so does the resort. Pictures do not represent how it really is.
