We stayed two days at the Conrad after staying at the Taj. The Conrad was beautiful and more modern but the service was severely lacking and there was definitely a lack of organization throughout the hotel. When we checked in, we got a room that unfortunately smelled like mold. We requested to be moved, and they did find us another room but it was after an hour. We were escorted to the executive lounge while we were waiting so that was nice and Anisha at the front desk was helpful to try to resolve the issue. However, thereafter it took forever to get our bags to the room. The room was not fully ready when we did arrive. Missing towels, bath mat, etc. At breakfast the service was very disjointed and all over the place. There was no dedicated waitress/waiter. Noone really came to ask if we needed anything. I felt we had to ask multiple different people to be served. Though the Conrad is shiner, it could take a book out of Taj's service manual.
