Lovely little place ♥️

After a very long trip down for a wedding I arrived late in the evening but the staff were very helpful. Slight mishap with my room but was happy to accept the alternative

Wonderful Wheatacre White Lion

Lovely place to stay. Quiet surroundings, very friendly staff, breakfast and evening meals were superb. Would highly recommend.

Pleasant country location

Arrived a little early for checking in but it waan issue. Very pleasant staff member checked us in. Spacious room with a fan and nice modern shower bathroom. Amenity tray provided. Kettle does have a short length lead which just about reaches the power socket. Ate in restaurant very nice meals provided. Would consider using this place again if back in the area.

Wouldn't return.

Staff were very friendly, really nice but it was do busy being a warm bank holiday. No towels in the room which wasn't as problem as they just gave them to us when we asked. It wasnt until we got ready for bed the bin was full of used sanitary towels, it made me wonder how well the room had been cleaned after the last stay. Stairs up to the room really grubby, past the kitchen and staff area. Felt like that area needed some tlc.

My second stay at Wheatacre White Lion and very much enjoyed again. Jay and his staff are super,friendly and polite. Rooms are well appointed and The White Lion has a great happy atmosphere.

Short staffed for breakfast. One willing man cooking, front of house and settling bills wasn't satisfactory. Also very limited choice for breakfast. No fresh fruit or cereals available.

Bar was busy when I arrived, with live music. Made to feel very welcome and shown to my room. Had a pint and then an early night. Will definitely stay again as need to try the food next time

Peaceful 2 nights

The room was clean , well furnished and peaceful. We slept well and enjoyed being on site to eat and drink at the restaurant. The selection of real ale is good and well kept, the food menu is wide enough with selections for most tastes and diets. Breakfast was 10/10. Thank you for a lovely break.

Great place to stay

Stayed for one night on business and had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly with excellent food and drink. The room a very good standard and very clean. The only down points was no where in room to hand clothes or shelf for towels in the bathroom. Also if travelling on business please be aware they do not start breakfast until 8.30am. Sorry if this sounds a bit negative, but feel business users need to know this and I would defiantly stay again.
