A wonderful place to stay inside and out!
We had the most wonderful stay in the South Down Shepherd’s hut. We came as a a family of 2 adults and 2 young children. It was the perfect quiet place for us to stay.
On arrival we were greeted with the most beautiful and well considered hut. It has everything you need and more in a small space that is extremely well designed so that it feels spacious and luxurious, the decor is beautiful.
A lovely touch was the cupcakes, eggs and milk on arrival.
The grounds were brilliant, our two young children loved the animals and it was great to be in a safe enclosed environment where they could explore freely. We woke up early to go and say good morning to the pigs and were lucky to collect some fresh eggs. The children loved playing with the wide range of outdoor games and using the bbq to cook dinner. A wonderful space inside and out for us to enjoy a wonderful relaxing as a family. We wished we could have stayed longer.

A lovely overnight stay - ticked all the boxes
My wife and I absolutely loved the peace and tranquillity of the area, with the husband and wife ensuring we were comfortable and even went that extra mile to get some butter - we will definitely go back and would again go for The Norfolk Horn

fab place - a real get away from it all. Loved it,would not hesitate to go back again. Owners really friendly, facilities brill. Everything clean and amazing
Beautiful cosy little hut, have stayed before in a smaller one and raved about it, so a friend had to come and see for herself too this time.
very good facilities, cooker, sink, shower, heating...great!
The suffolk shepherds hut was spacious, modern and inviting. The hosts had thought of everything. They provided tea, coffee, sugar, milk, eggs and lovely homemade cupcakes. There was also washing up liquid, dish cloths, tea towels, bathroom towels, bin bags and more. The hut was very warm despite the chilly March night and wet & windy morning. Will be back when the weather is better hopefully with more family members. We stayed with our dog and the cleanliness was amazing for pet friendly accommodation.
Fantastic peaceful break - Shepherd Hut was immaculate and so well equipped and cosy - Helen and Bob were great hosts - lovely touches - homemade cake and a breakfast basket that we booked but best surprise was when the cooked breakfast was delivered !!! And was hot and delicious !! Fresh eggs available from the lovely nearby hens, sheep and pigs to say hello to and plenty of space for children if you bring them - will definately be back and maybe try the safari tents which looked amazing !!!
We had a great weekend break in the Shepherds Hut managing walks in the south, north and west of the country - despite the bitterly cold strong east wind and light covering of snow. Excellent location and very peaceful and welcoming site.
Its quirky accommodation to get away from it all and get back to basics. The facilities are small but not cramped, the finishing touches put a smile on your face and the service is welcoming from the outset. Would recommend, and will look to return in the future.
The pre-booking communication was great & the owners were very helpful as we were coming especially for Latitude festival. The accommodation was lovely & cosy, we were very happy with everything & would recommend.
Arrived to a great looking shepherds hut, clean warm and cosy. Everything you need. Cake , eggs and milk on arrival. Nice touch. Settings were peaceful overlooking chickens and pigs. We were off to Lattitude and it was a great location . Definitely come again , want to try the 8 birth tents with our family.
The shepherds hut was lovely and the location gorgeous. The o Lyn thing we we would mention is we paid for breakfast but breakfast was t mentioned or offered so we had to go and buy our own,, I think maybe this could be,sntioned and that visions could be advised o. Arrival of the procedure and if it isn't available then to withdraw the option on the booking site.
We liked the little touches, little fairy cakes and fresh eggs from The farm which we had with the breakfast bits we bought at the local Morrisons.
Friendly, clean. Lovely welcome and great location
Friendly welcome. Personal touch with eggs, milk and home made buns on arrival. Dog friendly. Clean. Lovely location, drive from all local amenities and beaches.
We will definitely go back. We could not fault anything.
The chickens, cows, sheep and pigs was lovely to watch while sat out eating or having a BBQ with drinks in the evening.
Amazing short break.. texel shepherd hut was very nice, cozy warm and is a great base in the countryside for some peace and quiet. Well equipped accommodation situated in a beautifully maintained field within a farm... lucky enough to see lambs being born. Already planning our next trip!
We had a fantastic stay.
Great site. Quite, yet very well connected by public pathways for walkers.
Dawn Chorus is a very apt description of the joy of this place.
Beautiful hut, friendly staff and cosy setting. Great for that camping feel with a touch of luxury. Although we did struggle with the microwave grill, we would have gotten the hang of it if we had had the chance to stay longer. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
