Checked in and immediately checked out. Lobby was clean and smelling well, but the rooms had a terrible strong musty smell. In spite of staff trying to accommodate me in a second room that one smelled even worst. In addition, the elevator was out of service. Unfortunately I had to cancel my stay, and go somewhere else.

AC/heat was fine, facilities kelp clean. Carpets are approaching needing replacement. Poor lady that cooks the breakfast struggled to keep up with the guests' consumption. Breakfast offerings was fine just ran out during the breakfast time interval. Overall, acceptable service for that price range - not a 5 star hotel but not a 5 star price.

Everything was very clean but pool was cloudy. Also our room smelled musty but I later discovered it was because seals around window were compromised allowing rain to come in onto the AC and dripping into carpet. Manager needs to do a better job making sure maintenance is doing their job. Also hallway floor was wet which is a hazard. Again,front desk should be mopping as needed instead of sitting on the phone. Breakfast was mediocre but there was eggs and sausage whi h is always nice! Bed was very comfortable and room was nice and spacious. I would stay here again for value, despite little issues that can be quickly resolved.

I have stayed her a few times for 4-5 days at a time for work. Management and front desk has always been great on checking me in and out and any questions or taking care of issues I had. This last time I brought my teen age daughter with me and everything went smoothly.

I decided to book a room at the Super 8 / Port Arthur after losing power in Houston. Check in wasn't an issue and I was in my room in no time. Plenty of restaurants within driving/walking distance. The only complaint with the property was that the walls were thin and other guest got a little loud after sundown.

The staff were all amazing during our entire stay. There appeared to be a love bug infestation and they cleaned around it in the lobby area and there were quite a few in our room. The elevator was out of service as well. The carpet in the hotel needs to be removed, as it gives a strong mildew odor.

When we arrived at 3:30, we found out the elevator was broken, so we asked to be on the first floor especially having two little ones. The room we were put in the toilet wasn’t flushing. They moved us to another room, that room reeked of mold. We were told there were no more rooms on the bottom floor, however a new guest came and got a room just like the one we needed on the bottom floor. Was given no choice, but to move upstairs. We didn’t finish settling into the room until 5:30.
