"We liked the location in downtown St. John's and the attractive refinishing of the whole place. It felt in tune with St. John's posture as very old but also up to date. The continental breakfasts were a bit skimpy but we ate well enough elsewhere during each day."

"Over two nights I had two different rooms at Whale House. One was roomier with a really nice hot tub in a private deck. The Orca room was a completely adequate efficiency. The properly is surrounded by a garden which must be nice in season. Also has gas grill and sauna for guests. Good location along the east coast"
