Tropical Breeze Resort

8/10 Good

"Tropical Breeze Resort is a fantastic place to stay for a vacation, with the beach just around the corner. The property is well kept and very quiet and peaceful. The pool and hot tub were pleasant additions, and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. However, we did encounter a couple of issues during our stay. We ran out of towels on the first night, and no washcloths were provided. The beach towels in our room were quite sandy after just one day. When we called the front desk, they assured us we could get more towels and washcloths. We also requested espresso pods for the coffee maker in our apartment. Unfortunately, despite calling every day, the supplies we requested didn't arrive until the night before we left. As a result, we had to make do with used bath towels and sandy beach towels, and we ended up purchasing our own espresso. Both my husband and I volunteered to retrieve these items from their office, but we were told they are provided by an outside service. It might be a good idea for them to keep some supplies on the property for travelers in need. Overall, I will definitely stay again; I'll just bring my own towels from home!"

"This is a beautiful property. There were a few un expected things that happen. The beach chairs and umbella were not both included although I called in advance and was told they were. The guy said it had something to do do with our rate, which was through Expedia and shouldn't be reffered to like that. Then the drinks were very watery and my group only ordered the one. It had a lovely onsite restaurant but it took at least 30 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and there was only three tables who needed service. We had to ask about it. I understand these things can happen but it was not high season."

"The hotel was nicely done; I only have 3 complaints: 1. The lighting in the room was awful, very dark, and as a female when putting on my makeup I had to use my own mirror and step into the shower area for good lighting. 2. There was no in-room coffee or tea. 3. One of the elevators wasn't working right and didn't go down to the first or second floors, but instead of shutting it down they left it on, so every time I pushed the button from my 5-th floor room, that same elevator kept coming up. Unfortunately it took me a while to figure out that I could push the 4th and 3rd floor buttons, step out of the elevator, wait for it to start going down, then push the call button again to call the other, working elevator. I had luggage with me or I would have taken the stairs. The staff was excellent, though."

"Stayed at this location in Sarasota to be close to Siesta Key Beach. Great location and had use of the gym, free breakfast and also Free Happy Hour each evening. Nice room and friendly staff as well! WE probably should have booked two rooms but overall, beautiful room and relaxing stay at this hotel!"

"Staff was great and the hotel itself wasn't terrible. Only complaints would be limited options at breakfast (bagels, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs). And the air conditioner in the room was loud it sounded like a plastic bag blowing in the wind. The pool and pool bar were nice as well as the hot tub. There is a few restaurants within walking distance and a free shuttle that goes to siesta key. If I come back I would stay here again."
