"When we arrived at the Copper and Lumber store they had double booked our room for 2 or the 5 nights. When we explained we hadn't heard from neither them or expedia and in fact had a check in reminder they offered nothing advising we had to find alternate accommodation. We spent over 5+ hours going between the hotel and expedia as neither party wanted to take ownership/payment of any new accomodation options for us even though they had the $2500 from my existing reservation. "Good location. A short walk (500 yards) up a steep hill from the main strip in English Harbour provides amazing views of Nelson’s dockyard near enough to walk to all the restaurants and far enough away from the noise of the nightclubs so the only sound at night are the tree frogs chirping. Annie and Roger are super friendly, helpful and welcoming. 10/10 for staff. Simple but delicious breakfast served on the large terrace overlooking the sea completes the peaceful charm of this colonial style...

"Away from the crowds "

"The staff were all very nice and welcoming and helpful. As for the room it looked like it had seen better days. The bathroom had cracked tiles and there was zero water pressure in the shower and at one point the water turned off all together. There was one single desk chair in the room and we had to bring in the balcony chairs inside just to have somewhere to sit down. I’m sure this room used to be nice when the hotel was first build but it looks like they haven’t done any refreshing or updating...

"This is an affordable, comfortable option for a stay near English and Falmouth Harbors in Antigua. It works best for people who have other connections on the island like the Sailing Regatta. It is not a destination itself with the amenities of a resort."

"location was hard to find as you have to use the location given in Expedia. Place was in a nice quiet location. Areas of improvement: sink water was running very very very slowly. Need sink replaced. Toilet would run more often on the second/third day and having to manually hold the stopper down was too much. WiFi was spotty which could have been due to the location. Scenery was beautiful, management was responsive and helpful. Parking is also scarce. I would book again as a 5:6:7th option for...

"The property is in a lovely location, very quiet a a peaceful - you really need a car as nowhere nearby to get supplies, it’s basic, but immaculate and with everything you need. Sharon was very helpful, but we sadly we were unable to meet Gabriela and Douglas on this occasion, we had read such glowing reviews about them. (I hope you are feeling better, and hopefully we may get to come again and meet you). Deep bay is a 20 min walk and is just gorgeous. "

"Service needs attention. We had multiple issues during our stay in terms of service. Hotel is understaffed. There is no urgency in addressing requests. We have stayed is 5 star hotels around the world and this hotel is severely lacking in service. The price we paid does not match the experience we had. The beach is beautiful and we loved our beach attendant Daniel who went above and beyond. Chef at wild tamarind is great and food was flavorful. They ran out of towels on the beach, no trash can...

"Nestled into a quiet part of the country and good views of the sea. Room was nice and spacious, albeit a bit antiquated. Limited dining options next to the hotel so plan ahead. Kitchen requires you to plan a bit ahead for dinner, especially if its going to be late. I drove to the place so it was OK to get to and from the hotel but I can imagine would be difficult witha taxi. Staff was nice and accomodating."

"Old, shabby, in the middle of a building site, only 1 light in any room. all ceiling vans not working. TV not working. Had to ask for a room key as one was not provided at check-in."
