Loved the hotel, all Friendly and accommodating if needed. Spa is fantastic, lots of options, and agin staff were so Friendly and happy to help. I have one slight gripe (which some may find odd) - on arrival they took a £100 deposit from my card, Ive been to many hotels were they take the card and charge it to that if you use anything, but here they took £100. Fair enough I thought, is what it is.
However, on departure (checking out ready to go) they refunded £72 and told me the amount taken was ‘kind of a tip for the staff’ but ‘if I wanted they could also refund this’. Now while this is a first World problem, it’s a bit cheeky tbh, like you have to ask, and you’re guilted into paying, with no idea where this goes and who gets what, while at the same time you’re checking out and want to go, so very unlikely to say ‘yes, please give this undefined tip back to me because the £270 a night Ive paid wasn’t enough’
Anyway, amazing hotel save this one aspect.
