"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. "Recently refurbished in an attractive rural style the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. No air conditioning but a remote controlled Dyson fan was provided. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but could have done with some fresh fruit on the buffet table. However, when asked we were brought some pineapple which was good. The tables in the bar/restaurant were nicely laid out for dinner with proper napkins! "A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again."
