The property manager Markus is so kind and helpful. The apartment is clean and close to super market and trains. I would recommend this apartment.
This is a great place for an independent traveller to stay. Close to the city centre, its situation is perfect. The apartment is basic but is nicely styled. Consciously minimal it has lovely touches like original art work on the wall. The hosts are great, helpful and charming. Its great value.

Uscendo dallo Spalenring 10, a sinistra, si trovano subito una stazione di Taxi ed a 50 metri la fermata del tram che in pochi minuti porta al centro.
Abbiamo trovato in omaggio abbonamenti per i mezzi pubblici, per ciascuno dei componenti del nucleo familiare.
Il proprietario si è adoperato per trovare una soluzione per il parcheggio dell'auto, e ci ha fornito una mappa della città ed una mini guida in lingua italiana.
Prezzo praticamente imbattibile, nel contesto di Basilea, per una sistemazione familiare economica (in relazione al tenore dei prezzi svizzeri), ma decorosa e pratica.
Exzellente Lage, geräumige Wohnung und guter Preis
Da ich enge Hotelzimmer langsam leid bin, sind Apartments inzwischen mein Unterkunftsfavorit. Dieses am Spalenring kann ich sehr empfehlen: Es ist verkehrstechnisch sehr gut gelegen mit mehreren Straßenbahnen direkt zum SBB und in einer ansprechenden Gegend mit Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Studio besteht aus Wohnküche und Schlafzimmer, beide recht geräumig und man kann den hübschen Innenhof nutzen. Die Ausstattung ist etwas spartanisch, aber für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt ausreichend; das Schlafzimmer liegt zur Straße, daher ist es morgens etwas laut. Der Preis ist für Baseler Verhältnisse moderat und absolut leistungsgerecht. Ich werde gerne wieder dort übernachten.
I've stayed at Spalenring 10 twice and each time have found the accommodations perfect for my needs. The rooms are clean and very quiet, the service is first-rate, and Markus makes you feel at home. For a business traveler, it is a nice alternative to the overpriced hotels in the city center. And for families, the larger rooms are a great deal.
Markus, was very friendly and welcoming and made my stay very comfortable. The apartment was spacious and clean and very convenient for the town centre and the Basel tram service. I would definitely stay there again.
The host is wonderfully welcoming. He really goes the extra mile to accommodate your needs and very friendly. Location wise while it's not exactly central, with Basel being a small city with good public transport, it's very easy and convenient to move around. Plus you'll be given free tickets for the whole stay.
We stay as family of four and will re-book again if will have to go again as family.
We enjoyed Basel - the football finals were on so there were masses of people everywhere! The hotel is a house, we were on the third floor so had to lug bags up stairs with their help. Markus and wife (owners) are very helpful with local knowledge. Try the restaurant at the tramstop nearby - great! Could do our washing!!

As an infrequent business traveler to Basel, I have relied on the company preferred hotels for my stays there. However, for my last trip, as all of these hotels were booked, I was fortunate enough to find accommodation at the Apartments Spalenring 10. The booking process was very simple and the instructions that were sent to me regarding connecting with Marcus, my host, were very straightforward and clear. My advice is that you pay attention to these instructions. Markus is extremely charming and welcoming. The studio I had rented for my three day stay is perfectly located 1/2 way between the central train station and the airport and public transportation is just across the street. The studio had everything I could want and was exceptionally clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked should I have wanted to cook my own meals. Two grocery stores are within a block or so of the apartments. The bed was comfortable and there is TV and internet service. Although the building is an older building, my stay there met all my needs for being quiet, clean and convenient. The bonus was the service provided to me by Marcus. My major form of communication with him was via texting and email. His response time is noteworthy and so appreciated. He even went out of his way to figure out how to get a forgotten item to me after I had returned to the U.S. I left feeling good about having stayed there and I would definitely use those accommodations again.

I was attending the Art Fair in Basel. I first planned to stay in Zurich and then catch the train to Basel. But this apartment option caught my eyes and this seemed an attractive alternative to actually stay in Basel overnight and then attend the Fair leisurely.
I received correspondence well in advance of my stay to arrange the logistics of access upon arrival. As well as notification of free public transportation in Basel (Mobility Card.)
The studio is two floors and I expected that the would be no lifts so it was OK.
The apartment is clean and airway (crossed ventilation.) Kitchen is functional. Use of laundry facilities is very handy.
Location is satisfactory for tram lines 1 & 3 very close.
The owner is friendly and helpful.
Over all pleasant stay.
