"What a lovely place to spend time on you travels! A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good. The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area."

"The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. "Very convenient location, 9mins walk from station and 7mins walk to start of shopping area. Room was pleasant with lovely large bathroom. Clean bedlinen and comfortable bed. Shower was excellent and spacious. Nice to have coffee machine in room. Breakfast was very good and done to order. My only issues were that to access my room i had to use an outdoor fire escape and walk across roof - this was safe and easy to do but not ideal with luggage, nor was it welcoming. "I was not really happy with the room I was given. I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1. The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible. The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches."
