Great inexpensive spot in Bakersfield.

I stay in Bakersfield occasionally, for the price range of hotels that I stay in, this one is by far the best. The people that run this hotel were great.

The property itself was fine. It’s an inexpensive motel, you truly can’t expect more than clean. The service was good. It was quiet once all the residents (yep you heard that correctly, it’s also transitional housing for what I suspect to be economically struggling people. I’m fine with that, just wasn’t expecting it) honored quiet hours. On the plus side because they are residents they sort of seemed to keep a close eye on the happenings of the property and there did not seem to be any riffraff on the property. The main office had more cameras than glamour shots. My only two hangups. The neighborhood was wicked sketchy. There was a huge steel fence around the motel. So initially I was worried about my kids college bags being left in the car. They were totally fine. The other hangup is they are clearly used to heat because there were no blankets on the bed. Literally a sheet and a sheet like covering. We are used to cool so we jacked the AC all the way up and then ended up being cold as morning approached. The motel was a bit run down. Like the faucet on the sink had no caulking and you could see lots patch holes in the walls. They checked out TV remotes at the front office. Bathroom was tiny, it was as long as a bathtub and as wide as the bathtub and toilet being next to each-other. Would I stay again? Probably not, but you get what you pay for and I literally booked it in the middle of the night since I knew we would only be resting a few hours.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly polite, accommodating and helpful. The room was very clean and updated. I felt very secure on the property because of their gated entrance. I would stay there again.

It’s a pretty standard hotel. The most affordable hotel in an area that isn’t that nice or “beautiful”. Added parking gate for security is the main reason we chose this location. Breakfast coffee was good. Bedrooms were nice but not sound proof. Not a bad stay!

Staff very friendly. Rooms super clean and extra space. The room has a fridge and microwave. Is nice. Only problem. The room 221 shower drain clog. Not big deal, I really recommend this hotel. Plus parking lot is secure with automatic gate.

Let's just say that the area isn't the prettiest, but my room was really clean. Inside the property was chill no loud neighbors. Well worth it's price, I felt some kind way when I first got there. But you can't beat it for it's price.
